Paprika Passion Foyer

We are pleased to present Paprika Passion – a warm and exciting entrance to the Washington Design Center's 2008 Spring Design House. In it, we are celebrating the fiery hues of Paprika!

Highlighted with furniture, fabrics and accessories from century, lamps from Henredon, fabrics from Pindler & Pindler, newly launched paint colors from Farrow & Ball, accessories from Edward Ferrell and American Eye and the fabulous GRA Suspension chandelier, made of 600 individual steel rings welded together and finished with silver leaf, come together to add the "wow" factor in our hip, funky and colorful room.

Enjoy!

About Matthew Swingly

Matthew Swingly is the principal of McMaster Wallace Interiors, a Washington, D.C. based design firm. The firm specializes in designing beautiful interiors for both residential and commercial clients. Swingly designs in a wide range of styles to meet clients' specific needs while working within their budgets, timeframes and lifestyles.

While Swingly's projects are primarily in D.C., Maryland and Virginia, they run the gamut; from a timber frame home in the Canadian Rockies, an elegant villa in Aruba, and a sleek, modern waterfront home in New York. His client base is highly diversified; from first-time home buyers to local TV personalities, empty nesters to busy young families.

With his Bachelor's degree in Horticulture from Cornell University, a Master's degree in design from Marymount University and many years of professional design experience, Swingly is often asked to lecture on design and was a regularly featured design expert on a national television series appearing on Discovery Channel. In addition, his interior designs have been featured in many television, print and Web publications, both locally and nationally.

About Jenny Dodd

Jenny Dodd has been working in the design world for the past twenty years, starting out as a floral designer in Atlanta, GA which led her to the exciting life of designing weddings and other special events. After moving to the D.C. area, her design experience expanded into the world of staging homes for a local real estate company, in addition to taking on an array of individual clients who required both design and organizational input for their homes.
