Bio

Lorna Gross, owner of SAVANT Interior Design, is well versed in classic detailing, comfort, and unique elements. She has a brilliant ability to compose dramatic, sophisticated spaces that are also very livable.

Selected as one of DC’s top designers by Home & Design magazine, Lorna’s expertise spans pre-construction planning to architectural detailing to sourcing exceptional decorative items. Heavily influenced by growing up just outside of two vibrant cities – New York and New Orleans – she respects individuality and is able to translate myriad design styles.

A residence Lorna recently designed was featured on the cover of Washington Spaces magazine, and its owner hosted President Obama there last year. Lorna’s designs have also been featured in Home & Design magazine, The Washington Post, Capitol File and Elle Décor.com. She participated in the Washington Design Center’s 2008 DreamHome, the Springhill Christmas Show House, and she appeared in BET’s inaugural special on design in the White House.

Her clientele include multi-nationals, executives, and entrepreneurs, amongst others. Lorna has a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Marymount University and a second Bachelor’s and an MBA from University of Maryland’s Smith School. She is also NCIDQ-qualified and a professional member of ASID.
